Hi, my name is Brendan and I'm a second year New Media Production and Design student at South Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), that converts straight into a phenominal amount of time spent between cameras and computers. I'm alright with that. I'm quite interested in sports and everything else, but I've always been a geek and computers will always be my hobby, my passion, and my work.
In May of 1992 I was born in Calgary, Ab. From there I grew up using a PC (which I still do, it's better.) I guess what you could call my first ventures into media were little more than series of images created on paint. As a child I loved to draw a couple hundred images then put them in power point, set the timing for as short as possible, and voila, the creation of a rudmentry animation. From there I graduated to looping GIF images, and then to stop motion with lego, basic photo manipulation and video. Highschool was the real beginning of my interest in film, being a drama student all my life meant that I was constantly coming up with skits and short plays that were never used. But finally with my first digital camera and some friends interested in acting, I released my first venture into YouTube. Possibly some of the worst VFX seen, but the fire was lit and I had a passion for editing.
